On Wednesday, Darrell Brooks Jr., the suspect in the deadly Christmas Parade massacre in Waukesha, Wisconsin that left six people, including an eight year old boy, dead and scores more injured, broke his silence to Fox News Digital.

He used to opportunity to complain that he is being “demonized” and “dehumanized.”

As the country has found out who he is and the horrific nature of his crime, reaction has been swift. A Waukesha court official called it “shocking,” and an ex-girlfriend of Brooks’ called it, “a monstrous act … completely irredeemable.”

Brooks Speaks Out

During the Fox interview, Brooks said, “I just feel like I’m being [made out to be a] monster — demonized.”

Fox reporters described Brooks as, “soft-spoken, calm and lucid.”

Brooks is charged with six counts of first-degree intentional homicide in the parade massacre.

Video taken by bystanders show the red SUV he is accused of driving speed through the parade route, and swerve from side to side, hitting dozens of people.

Latest Information

The unbelievable statements made by Brooks on Wednesday to Fox Digital may only add to existing outrage as to why he was out of jail to begin with.

Just days prior to the Christmas Parade attack, Brooks was out on a $1,000 bond from Milwaukee for assault and attempting to run over his child’s mother.

Brooks is a career criminal whose rap sheet includes battery, domestic abuse, reckless endangerment, drug charges, and impregnating a minor.

New information being reported by the Milwaukee Fox affiliate says that Brooks was driving with a suspended license, and the SUV that Brooks was driving when he committed both the attack on his child’s mother and the Christmas Parade attack belong to his mother.

More Disturbing Information

There has been other disturbing information about Darryl Brooks that has not been widely reported.

A Fox News report claimed that a social media page “appearing” to belong to Brooks was filled with anti-white and anti-semitic language. There was also support for Black Lives Matter.

Fox reports that a meme from the social media page “claimed that Adolf Hitler had warned that his genocide was partly prompted because he knew ‘the negros … are the true hebrews,’ appearing to promote the views of the Black Hebrew Israelites.”

All of the victims in the white suburb of Waukesha were white.

While police have not released any motive behind the attack, several witnesses say there appeared to be some intent behind it. Other witnesses say that Brooks appeared to intentionally swerve from side to side to hit as many people as possible.

Darryl Brooks is being held on $5 million bail.
