L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti Announces The City Will Shut Off Water/Power To Any House Having Unauthorized Parties

FOX LA is reporting that LA Mayor Eric Garcetti ordered the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power (DWP) to shut off water and power to anyone (resident or business) that hosts “large unpermitted gatherings.”

In the press conference, Mayor Garcetti told residents that “starting Friday night if the LAPD responds and verifies that a large gathering is occurring at the property and if we see these properties reoffending time and time again, they will provide notice and initiate the process to request the DWP shut off services within the next 48 hours.”

The Mayor stated that the city has been “clear” on gathering together since the beginning of the pandemic. “I know this has been a tough ask because we are Angelenos, we like to be with each other, we like to be around people,” says the Mayor.

He says the shut off will be for the “egregious properties” that are “re-offenders.” He reiterated that this “enforcement is not focused on small and ordinary gatherings in people’s homes.”

When the FOX LA anchor asked the mayor how he could legally do this, the mayor claimed that these people are breaking the law and that his decision is “rooted in strong law.”

The second someone is hurt or dies from this decision the city will see lawsuits left and right.

You couldn’t pay me to live in California right now. At what point do the residents of these states look around and say, “We’ve lost our state, and the only way to fix it is to vote red”?

Do they really think this is about their safety? They don’t care about safety. This is a power play. People in LA found a way to live outside of the boundaries set forth by their dictator mayor, and he doesn’t like it at all.

Americans were raised with freedom being an integral part of our daily lives. This pandemic has stripped away the majority of our everyday freedoms, and Americans are fed up. We don’t want to be locked in our homes every day.
