People saw former President Donald Trump handing out hamburgers at a Bitcoin bar in New York City this week, before his speech in Uniondale.
Trump’s deputy communications director, Margo Martin, shared a video to X that showed Trump giving out burgers at the Manhattan bar PubKey, which is based around cryptocurrency.
“Take a bite of a burger! Before giving out the burgers,” Trump said to the crowd in the bar. “These as well are nice. They’re good here. This is a crypto-burger.”
In the video, you could hear someone say, “No, it’s a Bitcoin burger.”
“In fact, you should call them Bitcoin and a Crypto,” Trump said.
In other video footage, Trump paid his bar bill with cryptocurrency. This was the first public exchange by a president using cryptocurrency.
